Which Wrinkle Cream is the Best

by Geoff Hopkins

For those of us who are trying to look healthful and full of vitality, we need to try to make good decisions in order to ensure that our results are as good as possible. Therefore, we have to ask ourselves how we should select the ideal wrinkle cream.
While we may think that the question - how to select the perfect wrinkle cream - might be simple to answer, we actually need to think about it more carefully. Because there are perhaps thousands of anti-wrinkle products on the market, it is very hard to select the ideal product.
If you want to find the best product to combat wrinkles, you will need to look into which products are most successful and which products are safest. Also critical is your own personal situation. For example, if you have allergies, your choice of wrinkle creams will depend on this. In addition, your budget is important.
It is crucial to ponder the cause of wrinkles. These causes include the genetic and cellular damage caused by the sun (raising your risk of skin cancer); the loss of bounce in the skin which naturally occurs over time; and the use of drugs and various toxins, such as tobacco - the worst offender.
It is obvious that overall health is also important in combating wrinkles, since ill health can lead to bad skin. To maximize your overall health, you should eat well, sleep well, control your stress, and get active. In addition, don't smoke, and make sure to put on sunscreen at all times so that you protect your skin from the sun.
You will also need to drink lots of water in order to improve the health of your skin and body. Just as you need to drink water, you also need to provide water to your skin in the form of a good moisturizer. This will prevent the water in your skin from evaporating, and also give it a little boost of extra moisture.
Next, select a cream with sunscreen, since UV exposure causes rapid aging. Sunscreens vary and may or may not be safe, depending on whether they are natural or chemical. Select a wrinkle product that has an SPF over 15 so that you can make sure your skin is fully protected.
The antioxidant content of anti-wrinkle products may also define whether a wrinkle cream is better or worse than others. Antioxidants - including Vitamins such as E, A, and C, as well as lycopene - are special substances that can repair and prevent damage. These special substances can be consumed in food or applied to the body, so it is important to add plenty of them to your diet.
Finally, select creams that contain collagens and proteins - but only if they are types that can be absorbed by the skin. Long chain proteins - like in the plant aloe vera - can be absorbed without problems. To prevent from using artificial substances, don't purchase a product that contains something you can't pronounce. However, keep in mind the fact that some unpronounceable names refer to safe substances (for example, tocopherol is the scientific name for vitamin E).
