Acne Be Gone

By Nigel Lane - May 30, 2010
Have you been faced with embarrassing acne and don’t know what to do to get rid of it? Have you tried everything but nothing offered any satisfactory long-term results? What about trying some proven home remedies in an attempt to alleviate your acne problems?
Well, now there are some home remedies to aid in the treatment of acne. The first step to clearing up problem skin is eating healthy and drinking water. When you drink water it helps to flush out all of the toxins that are built up in your bloodstream. When you have toxins in your body it contributes to breakouts. The same is true about eating fatty, greasy foods. When you eat the greasy foods it causes breakouts as well, no to mention it can mess with your insulin and hormone levels. Apricot juice has also been effective at eliminating acne fast. You simply rub the juice on your acne for about 10 minutes everyday. You can also try mixing vinegar and salt in a bowl of warm water and then gently apply the mixture to your face. Let it stay there for about 20 minutes and then wash it off.
Some other treatments for acne include the use of rosehip seed oil which is used in cosmetics. It can also help to get rid of acne scars by simply applying the oil on your acne for 15 minutes at a time, twice per day. Another method is to wash your face with soap, such as sorbital or glycerin soap. In order to help combat acne and keep your skin free of oil you should wash your face at least three times per day. The recommended soap is Neutrogena. If you use these remedies you can combat acne and won’t have to worry about acne causing you embarrassment anymore. If you are treating acne home remedies are the best possible option in order to keep your skin clean and clear. Often people find themselves buying over the counter medications or getting prescriptions for creams to try and eliminate their acne problems. There are creams and other formulas out there but the majority of people have found that those don’t work as well as the home remedies. They get stuck in a never ending scenario where the problem just keeps happening over and over again. The problem with over the counter medications is that they focus more on treating the symptoms of acne instead of the skin condition itself.
